A Lookup relationship includes finding value of a field built on the value in another field in another object. It is typically used in the case of usually shared data between two objects.
In the courier company, we have a delivery location which necessarily be connected to a delivery schedule. So we have a field "DeliverySchedule" in the object Delivery location that looks up for values from the other custom Object named "Delivery Schedule". Let us now realize the steps to create such a lookup relation.
Initially, we recognize the objects and the fields which require to have the relationship. In our instance, these two objects are Delivery Schedule and Delivery Location.
Make a Custom Object named DeliveryLocation as we did in the preceding chapter. In it, go to the tab fields and relationships. Click New → Custom Filed → Lookup Relationship. Select the field type as lookup field and enter the particulars as shown below.
You can prove the lookup relationship formed by going to the schema builder and selecting the two objects for display.
