Job Description

Purpose of the Position:
Implementing sales strategy at the store level to generate sales for achievement of revenue targets at the respective store.
Driving store operations exceeding customer expectations & ensuring the delivery of unique shopping experience to customers
Motivating, training and developing retail staff for excellent customer service.
Ensuring that daily, weekly, monthly sales target are met and regular reporting is done to City Life Management

Store Operation Management:
Develops and ensures effective implementation of Sales & Service Plan for the Store to meet overall business objectives of City Life.
Plans and implements standardized operational procedures in the store in coordination with Regional Sales Managers to deliver the desired level of consumer satisfaction at Stores.
Directs and supervises sales team engaged in direct sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers.
Ensure that all statutory requirements pertaining to Sales and Operation are complied with and on time to avoid any punitive action from the authorities.
Coordinates effectively and timely with all concerned departments to ensure proper flow of communication and information within assigned Store.
Coordinates with marketing and visual merchandising team in planning & execution of micro marketing and visual merchandising activities at the store.
Supervises and implements sales and promotional strategies and activities in the respective Store in coordination with Zonal & Regional Sales Manager.
Provides regular feedback on sales & stock levels to Regional Sales Manager and the Allocation Department for Sales Performance and Inventory Planning
Ensures maintaining a track on the daily foot falls in the Store.

Store Sales Target & Optimization:
Divides overall sales target category wise and assigns weekly/monthly/seasonal targets to the LOB (Line of Business) Heads at the store for further cascading to sales executive level.
Reviews sales performance of the store over period of time in comparison to other City Life stores within the region/zone as well as pre-defined assigned target.
Regularly updates sales performance i.e. target vs. achievement on the ERP system for further use by City Life management.
Provides accurate and timely information pertaining to sales, industry, and competition in the area for periodic reviews by City Life Management.

Payment Management:
Supervises and manages cash and payment systems in the store in accordance with company procedures and policies, at all times with staff and customer safety as the uppermost priority.

Team Management:
Ensures all HR related operational procedures are followed properly as per company policy at the Store in coordination with Employee Relations team of City Life.
Participates in the recruitment process for the store staff as and when required in consultation with higher authorities.
Conducts personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths.
Coordinates with HO (Head Office) in imparting training to store staff and equip them with the skills to understand and fulfill consumer needs.

Inventory Management:
Adheres to the company guides lines for conducting inventory count & reports variance to HO as per the deadlines.
Monitors and manages inventory effectively to ensure availability of relevant apparels and general merchandise at any given point of time at Store.
Manages movement of stock between the floor, back store & the warehouse with assistance from Inventory personnel.

Visual Merchandizing:
Coordinates with Visual Merchandizing (VM) team at HO and ensures that VM at the store is of the required quality and all fixtures are in working condition within the Store at all times.
Maintains outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards at the Store.

Customer Service & Relation:
Resolves customer complain effectively and satisfy customer to its optimum level as per the company policies.
Interacts effectively to resolve customer issues & tracks customer feedbacks & takes suggestions from customers visiting City Life store.
Ensures high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service by sales staff at respective Store

Store Administration:
Monitors and manages store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Ensures freshness on the floor by adherence to VM changes as per the guidelines stated by HO of City Life.
Manages utility services like security, cleaning etc. at the Store.
