This position is in support of the Army NETCOM Regional Cyber Center-CONUS at Ft Huachuca, AZ This is one of a number of positions AT&T will fill as a subcontractor as part of the prime contractors larger team

The RCC provides defensive measures to protect and defend information, computers, and networks from disruption, denial, degradation, or destruction The RCC provides sensor management and event analysis and response for network and host-based events For sensor management, the RCC provides management of in-line Network Intrusion Protection System/Network Intrusion Detection System (NIPS/NIDS) sensors monitoring all CONUS DoDIN-A NIPRNet and SIPRNet enterprise traffic to detect sensor outages and malicious threat attacks that attempt to compromise the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of the network During the life of the contract, the RCC may assume control of CND devices within the installation LAN protection In cooperation with incident handlers within the Defense Cyber Operations Division (DCO-D), initiates defensive security procedures upon detection of these attacks The event analysis and response effort includes the processes involved with reducing a large number of incidents to actual malicious threat determinations and mitigating those threats in accordance with (IAW) guidance received from the incident handlers This includes activities from simple external hackers who may attempt to gain unauthorized access, insider threats, attempts at unauthorized access, and policy violations that may affect network security and operations, and more

The Threat Analysis Team will employ Standard Operating Procedures and Tools, Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTTP) related to Threat Detection, Computer Defense Assistance Program (CDAP), and the Cyber Intrusion Analysis Program (CIAP) The Threat Analysis Team will provide situational awareness of evolving network threats trends, participate in CONUS Information Technology Security Seminars or Training events (ie Blackhat, Defense Readiness Condition (DEFCON), Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), etc), and provide relevant technology feedback and forecasting of potential network and computer threats to supported activities based on information provided

The Intermediate Threat Analyst for the DCO must be able to work quickly in the rapidly evolving environment of defensive cyberspace operations, working to maintain awareness and express threat and warning assessments as managed by the senior threat analyst

Required Skills, Certification, Experience, and Education
IT Level I (per Army AR-25-2)
Tier T5 investigation required
Primary CND-A (DoD 8570)
Embedded IAT III (DoD 8570)

Education/Experience Requirements Requires recent and relevant hands-on experience (a certificate may count as 1 year of experience) in the area of Threat Analysis with DCO specialization, and a minimum of
o 6-8 years with a high school diploma,
o 4-6 years with an associate degree,
o 2-4 years with a bachelors degree, or
o 0-2 years with a masters degree
o Degrees must be relevant to the industry
