Third Party Coordinator - Project Engineer - ( BI 0005DT )

Key Identifiers for the Position

Looking for a leader with exceptional management and communication skills that can coordinate design and construction activities and interface of third parties on the Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP) and assists the Third-Party Manager in managing their efforts

Essential Job Duties

Assists the Third-Party Manager in third party coordination with appropriate city, county, and state agencies and utilities

Coordinate activities between the LAMP developers/contractors and third parties

Assists Third Party Manager in developing reporting mechanisms to track third party progress on performed work

Provides progress updates on efforts in coordinating third party activities

Attends and participates in third party progress meetings at various locations at a LAMP office

(there are several offices within the local area) or at the offices of the third party (several are in downtown Los Angeles)

Prepares meeting agendas, minutes and action items

Attends utility design and construction coordination meetings, as needed

Provides support to LAMP Logistics Management team, particularly with regards to coordination of logistics and interfaces with third parties

Supports Third Party Manager and Logistics and Interface Managers in other efforts, as required

Review general project requirements, design criteria and contract requirements

Ensure that monthly reports describing activities associated with Third Party Coordination are prepared and forwarded to the project management team

Develop presentations describing third party updates including key accomplishments, ongoing coordination activities and issue to the elevated for project management team

Contribute to the advancement of LAMPs goals through commitment to productive collaboration with all stakeholders

Hardware/Software Knowledge

Microsoft systems including MS-Excel, MS-Word, Power Point, SharePoint, Prolog, Primavera P6 or other Scheduling Software

Familiarity with Microstation and/or Autodesk systems including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D and BIM 360


Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications

Minimum ten years experience in the Design and Construction Industry performing duties related to third party/agency coordination on complex design and construction projects with similar landside project elements

Local experience with agencies such as the City and County of Los Angeles, CPUC, Caltrans, Metro, or City of Inglewood

Familiarity of industry practices, codes and regulations

Thorough understanding of airport specific enterprise-wide challenges and inherent communications needs

Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required



A college degree is required Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction

May be required to work various shifts as needed
