The EMEIA Tax Centre (ETC) operates as a virtual hub of highly specialized tax and accounting professionals from across EMEIA with a primary focus of expanding our service capability and speed to market

Designed to support, complement and enhance the efforts of our EMEIA professionals in pursuit and client service activities, the ETC offers increased access to leading-edge thinking and truly borderless service for our clients

Within the ETC our Global Compliance and Reporting Centre (GCR) specializes in coordinating the outsourced compliance work for some of EYs largest clients in EMEIA and worldwide The EMEIA team is a cross-border team and works closely with our Bangalore office and counterpart centers in the Americas and Asia-Pacific We act as a single point of contact to and from the client and the global EY network for all compliance and reporting needs including statutory financial reporting, direct and indirect tax compliance, payroll and company secretarial services Alternatively, where our client desires to use multiple providers, we can act as coordinators of these services Our work consists of contract management, deadline tracking, issue resolution, client relationship handling and assisting with Global Compliance proposals, including the pricing of multi-jurisdiction compliance work

We are now seeking a senior consultant based in Diegem

The job holder will work on a number of accounts, where they will be involved in coordinating multi-location, multi-service engagements In addition, they will support other team members on proposals, pricing and demonstrations of EY technology

Key responsibilities

Coordinating regular review meetings with clients including KPI and SLA performance; supporting Managers and above in identifying areas for growth; following up on feedback regarding service delivery; joint issue resolution and liaising with other service lines in EY
Initiating contract and fee negotiations including managing out of scope fees; scope changes; fee reviews and volume and inflationary adjustments
Service Delivery ensuring the online portal system is fully utilized and maintained so that the site is set up in accordance with the agreed timetable This will include regular reviews of the site with coordinators; reporting on progress direct to client or via another contract manager; overseeing roll-forward plan and reporting on progress; updating client of developments on enhancements
Issue Resolution - overseeing issue logs to ensure resolution within agreed timescales including managing the resolution of escalated issues and reporting on progress (via action plans and updates);sharing knowledge of issue resolution with other GCR team members and contract managers and escalating issues appropriately to contract managers
Managing engagement finances including budgeting; invoicing; time booked to code; overseeing expenses;
Ongoing development of GCR team methodology and policy including sharing successful tools with other GCR team members; project managing GCR development projects, looking at new tools and procedures and developing the GCR global network through local offices and supporting other contract managers with issue resolution

Coordination and Prioritization self-starter who is able to manage their own workload, ability to work under pressure and to keep things moving and to juggle multiple tasks
Excellent Excel skills and ability to work with large amounts of data
Ability to work across borders with a wide network of people facility in a foreign language would be helpful but not essential

Your people responsibilities

Coaching more junior members of the team on aspects of service delivery
Supporting the sales team around service delivery services for pitches, demos and orals
Helping to identify training needs of the group to meet client delivery requirements
Helping team members contribute more by giving them balanced and constructive feedback in a timely manner
Sharing knowledge and experience of service delivery challenges through appropriate forums, eg service delivery meetings, GCR team meetings, methodology meetings
Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels
Outgoing with good relationship skills and the ability to deliver quality output

Other

Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Fluent in English (written and oral) and at least one other European language
Prior Project Management experience is a plus
Prior experience in a finance or tax team is a plus
Ability to work virtual
PMI/Prince 2 certification is an asset
Willingness to travel
