About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Reporting Professional that will support the Financial Reporting for all valuations US GAAP, Local Statutory and Economic Value Management (Swiss Res proprietary integrated economic valuation framework) You will be responsible for the Accounting & Reporting tasks of assigned carriers according to the relevant accounting principles You will ensure compliance with local / Group requirements and the internal control framework

Position will report to Head Transition Accounting Services
Position will fully support Head A&R Non-Regulated Carriers Americas & Asia
Position will assist in quarterly and annual reporting deliverables for assigned carriers
Position will be responsible for completion and adherence to deadlines of US Government Reporting
Position will assist with operational improvement, identification and implementation
Ability to develop and cultivate relationships with local cross-functional business partners and global business partners
Should be able to see how own objectives fit in with the overall team/business objectives
Ability to make decisions within the parameters of the role Can explain the business rationale behind decisions and can demonstrate a methodical/rational process for decisions

Solves business problems using own initiative, within parameters of own role
Assist in reporting for all bases of Accounting & Reporting and related deliverables of assigned carriers US GAAP, Local Statutory, and Economic Value Management (EVM)
Basic research of items related to US GAAP, Local Statutory and willingness to build familiarity with EVM
Responsible for government reporting deliverables according to local jurisdictions
Assist in preparation of financial statements and related analytics
Assist in coordination with external auditors to support local audit
Willingness to challenge status quo processes and desire to implement process improvements, enforcing an environment with uncompromising controls
Assumption of additional project-related responsibilities as well as ad-hoc requests from internal clients
Fostering an environment of high collaboration and communication
Perform critical self-review to ensure high quality work product
Additional tasks and responsibilities will include the following Ensuring successful/timely completion of monthly and quarterly close duties by both self, and the local team
Focus on teamwork taking on additional duties during peak times
Continual training
Prioritize daily work to ensure all deadlines are met

Building and maintaining relationships with key internal clients

About the Team

As a member of the A&R Non Regulated Carriers team, we are responsible for carrier reporting for non-regulated carriers including holding companies and service companies

About You

Graduate in Accounts with 6 years of GL/Financial Reporting experience
CA or other designations a plus
Prefer candidates that possess experience in working with US companies and are familiar with US business practices and culture
Expert knowledge regarding US GAAP and operations experience
Advanced level on Microsoft Office (Excel Pivot Tables, Word, PowerPoint)
Self-starter, good written/verbal communication skills
Ability to adhere to deadlines and work on own initiative
Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
Strong desire to learn and develop, receptive to coaching
Strong relationship building skill set
Fluent in English
