Are you excited about working with channel partners Are you a technical person who loves APIs and driving integrations If so, you would love this role The channel distribution in the world of software is going through a massive transformation to migrate to low touch and low friction fulfillment This migration requires seamless integration between the partner marketplaces and software vendor systems The Partner Product Management team at Symantec is a group of dedicated, team-oriented professionals committed to making Symantec the Security SaaS market leader by defining, implementing and continuously improving Symantecs Integration, Solutions and GTM models with partner marketplaces on a global basis across our SaaS Products and Cloud platform

Responsibilities

You will design and develop features for the Symantecs next generation Big Data Platform that powers enterprise security products
Youll develop/deploy and operate best-of-class tools to detect security threats and incidents; respond to detected threats by driving the quick mitigation of such issues by the larger engineering team; work with security experts within Symantec to characterize and propagate knowledge of these threats to our product teams and customer base
Enabling the Channel Partners to understand Symantecs portfolio and how to technically present our solutions In addition to that you will be helping build a Go to Market Strategy that aligns with both your focus partners and Symantecs vision
Ensure customer configuration aligns with recommended standard methodologies
Enthusiastically seek out new sales opportunities by developing new and existing technical relationships within accounts that you have been involved with and seeking to carry out security assessments
Develop and actively handle positive relationships with internal personnel in all functional areas of SYMANTEC (both sales and support functions)
You will troubleshoot customer issues and provide quick and thorough solutions
Alert and advise customers around critical vulnerabilities and software updates
Some travel may be required to assigned customer locations
Be available after hours for customer emergencies on occasion
Invest in ongoing self-development to acquire industry relevant skills necessary to satisfy your customers needs

Qualifications

Minimum of one years commercial experience within the information technology industry
University Degree and/or relevant industry qualifications (CISSP, Security ,CEH ) desired
Knowledge of service delivery or account management in a post and/or presales environment
Strong presentation skills, as this position requires representing Symantec while working directly with large global partners and across internal organizational boundaries
Experience with web security products - advantage
Proficiency in contemporary operating systems, advanced networking concepts, and computer security concepts
Knowledge of cloud or hybrid environments highly desired
