The Role Responsibilities

Key responsibilities but not limited to

- Embedding the Technology Risk Framework (Identify, Evaluate, Respond and Monitor) in the Bank across Technology

- Oversee and manage Regulatory Baseline, ensure structure and timely alignment of the Banks policies, processes and

standards with regulations expectation

- St rong Partnership with Technology teams as well as other key stakeholders including Operational Risk and Internal


- Driving Programme of work to enhance and improve the Banks Technology Risk posture

Risk Identification, Assessment and Evaluation

- Identify, assess and evaluate non compliance / gaps to enable the execution of the Technology Risk management


- Work with the Technology teams across the Group to review the appropriateness of process design keeping

standardisation, control, client service and simplicity at the root of all processes

Risk Respond

- Support the development of risk-responses to ensure that risk factors and events are addressed in a cost-effective

manner and in line with business objectives

- Review risk responses with the relevant stakeholders for validation of efficiency, effectiveness and economy

Risk Monitoring

- Monitor non compliance / gaps and communicate information to the relevant stakeholders to ensure the continued

effectiveness of the Technology Risk management strategy

- Projects and Initiatives related to Technology

- Drive and participate in relevant Technology projects and initiatives to bring pro-active risk management focus into


- Identify initiatives where required to improve risk posture

Risk Governance

- Facilitate periodic regular review of regulatory baseline and update of materials aimed at raising risk awareness and

instilling understanding of minimum standards of risk governance across the bank

- Produce trend analysis of common regulatory requirements / expectation globally

- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate, challenge and influence across borders and at all levels of the

- Strong analytical thinking with ability to clearly and succinctly present trends and highlight material findings

- Ability to think outside-the-box with ambition to constantly evolve and improve the risk environment

- Able to articulate complex thoughts and analytics to various stakeholders using tools such as MS Office, SharePoint,

Tableau etc

- Able to summarize and communicate technical data to a non-technical audience

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask

- Must possess the coordination and interpersonal skills required to work across multiple teams to communicate effectively

to both internally and externally

- Must have strong written & verbal communication skills, report writing skills are required

- Must be self-motivated, and have an ability to work well where team are based offshore

- Strong reporting and presentation skills (power point, excel)

Experience & Education

- Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, business management, accounting, finance or related


- Minimum 10 years experience in the financial banking industries focused on technology operational risk and/or

technology risk related control functions

- Hands on demonstrable experience of technology risk management both implementation and governance

- Familiar with regulatory based drivers and compliance

- Experience with Technology Regulations Management

- Strong experience in business process related to Technology and strategic regulatory change and working closely with

regional and global teams

- Relevant Risk certifications considered
