Job Description:

The Problem Manager will be responsible for the execution and maturity of Expedia Partner Solutions (EPS) Problem Management process This person will partner and gain alignment with peers across various support and development organizations within Expedia The successful candidate will effectively set strategic and tactical plans to mature EPS core Problem Management process as well as drive operational excellence

What youll do Effectively align Problem Management resources to understand and document root cause on Expedias events that impact EPS partners
Track action items that are identified as part of the root cause process to ensure prevention of recurrence as well as ability to compress impact when impacts do occur Document ownership of action items and gain commitment to delivery
Increase speed, agility and quality of delivery of remediation actions to prevent recurrence
Enhance service management capabilities through process design and evolve process capabilities and adoption through data driven decisions
Provide thought leadership within Expedia across Problem Management function
Partner with members in other ITSM functions to provide consistency across lanes
Ensure resources are focused on top priorities across all initiatives with attention to executing desired outcomes Work to keep problem management priorities in team backlogs to consistently make progress across the environment per the team commitment to deliver
Manage multiple concurrent, complex, and/or unique projects and initiatives
Interact with direct reports, peers in management, and customers to share information, provide input on strategic and operational initiatives, and improve cross-departmental processes
Provide regular status updates of open, in progress, completed activities internally up and down the leadership chain as well as externally to partner teams
Demonstrate functional leadership on operational policies and processes

Who you are Youll fit this role if you have

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field or equivalent education and experience required
5 years of experience in IT Operations or IT Service Management with experience providing operations support services in a complex and large-scale eCommerce environment
ITIL Intermediate or Expert certification preferred
Dynamic technology leadership experience in an ecommerce organization
Strong technology process management skills and ability to successfully manage up, down and across the organization
Deep technical expertise in one or more areas of technology
Demonstrate impact and influence skills to drive changes, and consensus across organizations
Experience in crafting and implementing standards and procedures
Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the business, suppliers and partners Able to present and communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to all levels of the organization
Ability to create team strategies and predictably deliver
Demonstrated success leading remote project teams
Ability to work independently
Strong customer service focus, coupled with a shown ability to positively interact with customers of all levels within or external to the organization
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Exhibit a strong work ethic and technical leadership
Organized, responsive and highly thorough problem solver
