About the function

The Communication department in Societe Generale Global Solution Centre is responsible for planning and implementing various communication and branding activities aligned to the organizations objectives and roadmap The department has three key functions Internal communication (communication within the organisation which includes employee engagement, brand awareness and management, leadership communication and crisis communication), external communication (communication with stakeholders outside the organisation, also includes media, social platforms, industry forums to create brand awareness and recall) and Corporate Social Responsibility

The corporate communications team works closely with the Societe Generale Group, business lines in SG GSC and external partners to strategize, plan and implement a host of communication as well as branding campaigns

Mission Based in Bangalore, working under the supervision of the COO, Global Solution Centre, and reporting functionally to the Head of Communication, Asia-Pacific, the Head of Communications is responsible for
Developing and implementing the communication plan for Societe Generale in India (in collaboration with the Head of Communication for SG CIB), integrating local implementation of global / regional communication strategy
Providing communication support to GSC management
Managing day-to-day the GSC communication department

The role particularly focuses to deliver on the following objectives, shared with the local business lines and HR teams
Promote external image / employers image;
Generate staff engagement

In order to deliver a consistent image and promotion of Societe Generale in India, the Head of Communication will proactively and regularly coordinate with the Head of Communication for Societe Generale CIB

Profile The scope of responsibility covers all channels promoting Societe Generales image and activities in India, in coordination with the respective contact(s) of the regional communication team

Resources, monitoring and strategy
o Define and monitor communication budget for GSC India
o Define KPI and metrics
o Follow-up and regular reporting on communication activity, impact, and permanent supervision, risk control and audit
o Participate in defining the communication roadmap for Asia-Pacific with a specific focus on India
o Day-to-day management of the GSC communication team

Media relations
o Develop media plan for GSC, with a primary focus on promoting Innovation
o Identify and manage local spokespersons
o Develop media relations with target media
o Manage crisis communication as and when relevant

Branding & advertising
o Custodian of brand guidelines and ensure local implementation for any usage
o Contribute to regional advertising plan and support local implementation
o Support sourcing of merchandising products and gifts, eg greeting cards, corporate gifts

Partnerships & Citizenship
o Implement activation of global and regional sponsorship platforms
o Identify and manage local partnerships in line with SGs image
o Manage and coordinate citizenship initiatives for GSC

Editorial & digital communication
o Produce regular content, integrating focus on business activities and corporate culture, in line with regional editorial plan
o Define and manage the local digital ecosystem manage CMS and ensure community management
o Advertise content on digital channels to deliver internal and external communication to staff and other stakeholders
o Manage GSC newsletters as and when published

Events
o Deliver client (Corporate, Business, Social if relevant) and institutional events locally, in collaboration with Business lines when relevant
o Create staff engagement through events supporting citizenship/internal social activities, in collaboration with HR
o Support HR for student fairs and campus events, as relevant

The role implies also to assist the other Communication team members across Asia-Pacific as and when required

Skills

Proven record in developing and implementing transversal communication strategies (using different channels, targeting different audiences, and promoting a wide range of image items)
Experience in the financial industry
Experience of team management
Strong writing skills
Strong relationship and adaptation skills a team player with ability to work with all levels of staff in all business/support functions
Service-driven, dynamic and open-minded a doer with ability to steer business/support functions towards a common goal
Agile, curious and forward-thinking ability to question and revisit any action
