Brand Art Director / DNEG India

You will be part of DNEGs global marketing & communications team, responsible for leading the creative design output of the department across print, web and AV You will direct and manage the output of the creative team, responding to briefs provided by the marcom team and other internal stakeholders, providing brand guardianship, and reporting to the HOD Marketing & Communications Mumbai, and ultimately to the Global Head of Marketing & Communications in London

This is a hands-on role that requires both the management of a creative team and demonstrable personal design and creative skills

Role and Responsibilities

Collaborate with marketing & communications managers, and other internal stakeholders, for design, layout and production of marketing and brand collaterals, including brochures, presentations, fliers, folders, pull-ups, posters, exhibition stall designs etc
Demonstrate ability to understand a brief, and to ideate and give form to strong creative concepts across all media
Manage, motivate and inspire the creative team (designer / AV editor) and ensure delivery to specified deadlines

Collaborate with web team on design, usability and functionality
Proactively raise the bar for the creative output of the department, including suggestions for the improvement of existing collateral, websites and reels
Ensure that all work produced by the department is carefully and thoroughly checked prior to delivery
Schedule and manage resources, and provide regular update to the project manager (marcom team or internal stakeholder)

Have an eye for crafting and producing high impact AV assets like showreels, curtain raiser videos, interviews, corporate films etc
Provide brand guardianship and police any deviations from the established brand guidelines
Coordinate with third-party vendors for timely execution at the required level of quality, including print management
Establish processes and templates for design services
Share best practices with the creative team, and provide career guidance advice

Candidate background

We are looking for mid-senior level profiles with proven creative experience in print / web / AV media

Minimum 5 years of experience in full service advertising agency / digital agency
Ability to make conceptual design decisions and communicate the creative rationale
Substantial hands-on experience and willingness to work hands-on on complex design projects as required
Good understanding of web, AV and print production processes
Strong hands-on skills in Adobe Creative Suite
Good understanding of web design
Good understanding of User Experience / Usability principles and UI design
Ability to work within established corporate brand guidelines
Ability to create and package files correctly as per specifications of internal and external production vendors
Strong organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage more than one project at a time, working under tight deadlines
Strong team management and inter-personal skills are a must; should be able to work closely with a diverse high-performance team

Education

Degree/Diploma in Design/Fine Arts and/or proven experience in similar role
