Job Description:

Insurance contracts, Laws, Insurance policies


Compile records of insurance policies covering risks to property and equipment of organization
File records of insurance transactions and keep calendar of premiums due and expiration dates of policies
Prepare vouchers for payment of premiums and verify that payments have been made
Fill in data on renewal policy applications and forward applications to insurance company
Compile statistical data for reports to insurance carrier and departments in organization
May notify insurance company of changes in property or equipment affecting insurance coverage
May type amortization schedules May use computer software programs to process and record actions
Good Knowledge of Insurance contracts & coverage such as property, casualty, health, life & disability
Experience in interpreting & applying insurance laws, policies, rules & regulations; composing written correspondence; using a computerized records system to enter, retrieve and update data
