Role Summary

In this role, you will use a variety of mechanical skills on equipment to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine condition / serviceability of the unit

Essential Responsibilities

Assemble equipment according to procedures & drawing specifications by reading drawings and following instructions
Read calipers, gauges, micrometers & other measuring tools
Assemble components using the proper equipment and techniques, in accordance with the work instruction & procedures
Assemble various configurations of components to corresponding assembly prints utilizing available tooling, gauging and equipment
Verify that assembled components meet BHGE Oil & Gas Pressure Control quality guidelines
Keep equipment in well working condition perform scheduled maintenance
Keep all working areas safe and free of debris and oil
Comply with all EHS requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
Minimum 6 months of experience in a shop, assembly and/or warehouse role,
Eligibility Requirements
Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs
Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time

Desired Characteristics

Basic computer skills
Self-motivated and team player
Prior testing, assembly, or electrical experience
Previous experience in the Oil industry
Mechanically inclined
Knowledge of hand tools / air tools
Previous Manufacturing experience
Strong problem-solving skills
