Job Overview

TE Connectivitys Assembly Teams operate assigned automated assembly machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivitys EH&S policies and procedures

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Essential Functions (could potentially include all or select, soldering a requirement - will train!)

Perform basic soldering prep by manipulating fine-wire (46-48 gauge) under a microscope
Work primarily under a microscope for an extended period of time
Utilize a laser stripper to prepare wires for soldering
Crimp ferrules using both a hand crimper and a pneumatic crimper
Perform electrical capacitance and high voltage testing on sub-components as well as final assemblies
Perform basic camera testing on sub-components and final assemblies
Perform vacuum pressure testing on sub-components and final assemblies
Perform cleaning and packaging steps for final assemblies
Understand and correctly execute to TE workmanship standards
Understand and correctly execute to Shop Floor Controls Required Experience

HS Diploma or GED required
1-2 years previous similar experience, manufacturing environment preferred but not required (We have had individuals skilled in needlepoint, electronics and even baking succeed!)
Ability to correctly distinguish colors
Hand and finger dexterity required to manipulate very fine wires and parts
Ability to work under microscope for extended period of time
Ability to read and understand written English Assembly instructions
Ability to accurately understand verbal English instructions
Basic math skills
Basic understanding of rulers and micrometers (measuring tools)
Ability to function in a team environment (We are very big on teamwork here at TE!)
