The role

Sandvik is seeking an Assembly Coordinator for their newly relocated Fire Suppression Assembly facility in Virginia, Brisbane This role is a key enabler in the supply of Sandvik Fire Suppression Systems

You will work with stakeholders to develop an agile production plan, highlight and manage raw material shortages, participate in weekly production meetings, and manage the daily transfer and flow of inventory by creating and releasing work orders and transfer orders

We are looking for someone that is a fast learner; responsive, and ultimately can plan to succeed

The Fire Suppression Business operates a Quality Management System that complies with the requirements of ISO 90012015 and is firmly committed promoting business growth through exceptional customer service

Key performance areas

Adhere to all policies & procedures especially the EHS policies
Creating & releasing Work Orders in our ERP System;
Creating Transfer Orders for Spare Parts sales
Create purchase orders for sub-contract supply of parts and assemblies, as well ordering non-standard components as required
Assisting the management of Non-Conformance from suppliers, following Sandviks procedures to ensure a fast and effective resolution
Supporting the Supply and Assembly Supervisor in ensuring forward orders of raw materials are delivered on time and expediting as necessary
High level of accuracy in proof reading printing samples (such as warning labels for Fire Suppression foam and equipment) for mass production by external printers
Working with stakeholders to develop a production/assembly plan but with the flexibility to adjust as business priorities dictate

Your profile

You will have experience in the coordination/support of an assembly/production facility, with a sound understanding of supply chain challenges in that environment

You have excellent customer relations and active listening skills and will be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, in person and electronically

You will have established experience operating multiple ERP systems, and good aptitude in learning new systems

Proficiency in Excel particularly in relation to reporting

Good working knowledge of Assembly and Warehouse Operations

Previous exposure to ISO Quality Management Systems would be highly regarded
