Job Description:

Incident and Problem management specialist on Mobile services This role is on the Mobile Channels application support team within the BUK Run the Bank business area The purpose of the role is to ensure the smooth running of the Mobile services through Incident Management, Problem Management and continuous service improvement

Your Role

Make decisions on best resolution to live incidents and problems Articulate, advise and agree these with the Application Support Lead and relevant Subject Matter Experts within the bank
Apply ITIL skills to Support the Application Support Lead in performing ITIL aligned functions, Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management
Create, maintain and develop strong relationships across the Mobile and BUK Run the Bank organisation to develop effective applications and work in as per the Agile Delivery Methodology
Under the guidance of the relevant Application Support Lead, actively participate in the resolution of Incidents, to return product service to customers as quickly as possible
Help the Application Support Lead to maintain the overall problem backlog, by owning and delivering Problem fixes and Service Improvements
Support the Application Support Lead to help them Plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the operations of the Banks production applications
Perform any compliance or risk assessment activities where requested to ensure the Barclays Risk Assessment / compliance processes ie ORIA, RCA Updates, SOX are applied
Support the Service Introduction process by reporting to the SI manager on issues and progress for new Services

Essential Skills

Previous application support experience

Linux, Oracle SQl and Java

Javascript

Eclipse or IDE

Desirable Skills

Tech and tool Skills - Java, XML, Shell script, Python, Wily, Bladelogic, Splunk, ServiceNow

Has been involved in Major incident investigations involving Stakeholder comms
