Job Description:

As an Application Support Analyst we expect you to possess a healthy mixture of both technical and Communication skills Successful candidate would have a good knowledge of UNIX as well as Java based application, facilitating technologies and be capable to lead people (directly and by dotted reporting line) Responsibilities will include process optimization by driving and even implementing continuous Service Improvement tasks, automating repetitive tasks as well as deep dive into complex service impacting incidents and finally people and stakeholder management related activities (overall and individual performance, feedback and escalation management) What will you be doing Specific 70 PERCENT

Level 1 incident management

Identification of service improvements and stability activities

Ad Hoc Reporting where appropriate

Reviewing of Implementation Plans & Release Documentation

Complex issue triage, investigation and coordination to closure

On call support and ad-hoc overtime as appropriate

Maintain open and timely communication with relevant business, supplier and IT personnel, particularly Change the Bank development teams

Stakeholder management and leadership 20 PERCENT

Assist in the triage and resolution of software defects during the testing phases

Provide training and support materials to the application management team to enable then to support the application effectively in BAU

Provide support to the application management team as required during the post live implementation period, and at any future point where detailed application expertise is required to address production incidents

Decision making and problem solving- 10 PERCENT

Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills

Organisation and prioritization skills

What were looking for Should be able to work in 24x7 environment L1 support

Good understanding of UNIX and Linux

Good understanding of SQL Databases preferably Oracle

ITIL certification knowledge will be added advantage

Knowledge of monitoring systems and concepts of large scale monitoring (AppDynamics, Aternity)

Skills that will help you in the role Should be able to work in 24x7 environment L1 support

Good understanding of Linux & SQL

Effective communicator (written and verbal) at all relevant levels of the organisation

Ability to plan and manage own work effectively

Flexibility to react effectively to changing priorities and to willingness to step outside of role boundaries to achieve results
