    Description :

    - Senior Consultant/Design Engineer with a demonstrable track record in consulting and delivering Enterprise and/or Telco grade UC solutions from opportunity identification through to final project closure.

    - The role requires strong technical and communication skills with significant hands-on design, delivery and transformation experience in : UC, IPT, VoIP, IM&P, collaboration tools, audio/video/web conferencing, voice gateways, SIP/TDM trunking, SBCs, federation, IP, routing and switching.

    - The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong background (5+ years) in, and hands on design, implementation and delivery of, UC solutions especially around Microsoft UC offering.

    Essential Skills :

    - Skype for Business 2015 and Lync Enterprise / Standard edition with proven hands on experience in:

    - Core Lync / Skype for Business Enterprise Edition implementation involving Front End, Mediation, Edge, Office Online Server etc.

    - Installing and integrating AudioCodes SBA, Gateways & E-SBC.

    - Enterprise Voice: Ability to setup Dial Plan, Voice Policies and integration with PSTN Gateways / SBCs with ISDN / SIP Trunks.

    - Good Understanding of SIP Protocol, Codecs, Call flows of various modalities and troubleshooting complex technical issues.

    - Strong fundamental understanding of OS Windows Server 2008, 2012R2 & 2016 with emphasis on:

    - Active Directory, AD DS / FS, Forest Trust GPOs etc.

    - DNS & DHCP.

    - Certificates, PKI, TLS & DFS.

    - Good understanding of SQL Backend. Preferably SQL Always ON.

    - Power Shell scripting

    - Ability to write powershell scripts for bulk user provisioning and migration as it relates to S4B and Exchange UM.

    - Exchange

    - Deep understanding of Skype 4B to Exchange integration.

    - Exchange Unified Messaging - online & on premise.

    - This role would suit someone experienced in detailed hands on technical design and delivery with demonstrable consulting skills and capabilities - including: leading consulting engagements, managing client expectations and delivering business (as well as technical) solutions.

    - The candidate will be proactive when dealing with customer issues, have excellent customer facing and service skills, a flexible attitude and ability to perform under pressure, and have strong communication skills especially when communicating with a globally dispersed team.

    Responsibilities :

    Planning, design, configuration, implementation, operation and optimisation of UC technologies. This will include remote and/or (as required) on-site :

    - Infrastructure strategy creation and roadmap development.

    - Infrastructure design and systems sizing.

    - Migration planning, risk assessments, impact analysis.

    - Implementation, configuration, testing and transformation.

    - Pre and post deployment support.

    - Detailed troubleshooting and problem resolution.

    - Performance engineering and optimization.

    - Knowledge transfer and mentoring.

    - Test plan/strategy development.

    - Network auditing/sizing.

    - Creation and development of documentation, including detailed technical documentation and appropriate policies and procedures for assigned projects.

    - Assess customer requirements for data and voice technology initiatives and recommend appropriate solutions.

    - Assist with IT disaster recovery planning and testing for telecommunications and UC technologies including data and system backup and restore functions.

    - Help to provide a high quality, high availability computing and telephony/UC environment.

    - Assist in the optimisation of technology in telecommunications/UC environments for the clients IT Services department.

    - Maintain knowledge of existing network and applications, including new products and technologies, relating to telephony and UC products.

    - Providing technical consulting expertise to internal project teams and customers.

    - Sharing knowledge and experience through formal and informal knowledge management initiatives.

    - Proactively maintain knowledge/awareness of existing network and applications, including new products and technologies, relating to Microsoft/Cisco/Oracle and other UC products.

    Required :

    - Five (5) years of increased design, delivery and transformation responsibility in an IPT/UC environment.

    - Demonstrable experience in design, implementing, transforming, troubleshooting, testing and supporting UC technologies including: IPT, VoIP, IM and Presence, collaboration tools, audio/video/web conferencing, SBCs, voice gateways, SIP/TDM trunking, IP, routing and switching.

    - Detailed knowledge and understanding of protocols (SIP, H.323, QSIG, SCCP, etc.) and codecs (G.722, G.711, G.729, H.264 and Microsoft Real-time adaptive codecs (RTC)).

    - Experience in implementing SBCs, integration gateways and applications.

    - Experience in voice/video/data networking, telephony IPPBX management and voice applications.

    - Demonstrable experience in legacy telephony (PSTN, TDM, PRI, Key Systems, TDM PBX and C7).

    - Analytical consultative and methodical support skills and the ability to lead users and staff through business requirements and delivering business and technical solutions.

    - Demonstrable experience in the identifying and maintaining the voice dependencies of local and wide-area networks.

    - Large enterprise, high availability design skills.

    Candidates should have broad and deep experience-based knowledge of UC gained through genuine hands-on delivery experience in scoping, design, implementation and transformation in multiple vendor solutions on large scale, complex, multi-technology projects for enterprise customers.

    In addition to understanding UC technologies through genuine project delivery experience, the work will include liaising with business leaders:

    - To articulate the business benefits as well as the technical benefits and being able to prioritise these benefits amidst other decisions and options facing Verizon customers.

    - To create professional level project documentation (designs documents, test plans, etc.)

    - To present, consult, facilitate workshops, etc. engaging effectively with a wide variety of individuals, both within a project team, and especially with the customer at all levels of seniority.

    - To share knowledge, make recommendations based on proven experience and contribute to business and technical decision making.

    Experience of project management tools and methodologies is desirable and candidates should demonstrate an ability to be self-driven and organised.
