Utkal Grameen Bank is a Regional Rural Bank established on 1 November 2012 with the merger of Rushikulya Gramya Bank and Utkal Gramya Bank in terms of provisions of Regional Rural Banks Act 1976. The bank is sponsored by State Bank of India & is jointly Owned by the Government of India, Government of Odisha and SBI.

Knowing the Utkal Grameen Bank Eligibility the basic factor for every candidate before appearing for the online test. 

Eligibility Criteria for Officer Scale I & II:

Nationality/ Citizenship: A candidate must be either:-

• a Citizen of India

• a subject of Nepal

• a subject of Bhutan

• a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.

• a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

• Officer Scale-I: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy;Proficiency in local language.Working knowledge of Computer.

• Officer Scale-II- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.

Experience - Two years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution. 

Age Limit: 

• For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager)- Above 18 years - Below 30 years

• For Officer Scale- II (Manager)- Above 21 years - Below 32 years

Age Relaxation -

1. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe -  5 years

2. Other Backward Classes - 3 years

3. Persons With Benchmark Disability as defined under “The Rights of Persons With Disabilities Act, 2016” - 10 year
