The Combined Defense Services Examination (CDSE) notification has been issued by the UPSC. Join the Army, Navy and Air Force and become partners in the defense of the country. The community also receives high regard. Achieving merit in the CDSE will give the carrier a full satisfaction status. This test is held twice a year. The first notification has been issued for the year 2020 with 418 vacancies. It selects and trains talented young people and entrusts them with the protection of the country. Female candidates can apply for the Officers Training Academy (Short Service Commission).

Who is Eligible?

Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Officers Training Academy (OTA) posts are required for any degree. Naval Academy jobs require an engineering degree. Air Force posts are sufficient for any degree. But you must read Physics and Maths at 10 + 2 level. Degree or final year of Engineering may apply.

Indian Military Academy and Naval Academy posts January 2, 1997; Those born on or after January 1, 2002 are eligible. For Air Force Jobs January 2, 1997; Those born on or after January 1, 2001 can apply. Officers Training Academy Posts January 2, 1996; Must have been born on or after January 1, 2002. Only unmarried are eligible to apply. Candidates must meet certain physical criteria.

Selection process:

Candidates will be selected in two phases. The first stage involves a written test. The Intelligence and Personality Test will be conducted for those who qualify. The Army, Navy and Air Force departments will include English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics subjects. All 300 marks will be tested within six hours. Each subject of one hundred marks should be completed in two hours. Candidates who have applied for Officers' Academy posts will be screened in English and General Knowledge subjects. A total of 200 marks will be tested for each one. Two hours were allocated to each subject. Questions are objective-style. There is negative marking.

Syllabus:

Consider common knowledge in the English test. Preparatory at the top level, though. Questions such as vocabulary, reading comprehension, spotting errors, Sentence Improvement / Corrections, Fill in the Blanks, etc. General knowledge questions include examining candidate knowledge in science and technology in real-life experiences and observations. Current affairs are preferred. Questions about the history and geography of India. Elementary mathematics questions are at the top level. This includes questions from Arithmetic, Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Mensuration and Statistics.

Intelligence and Personality Test:

TheCandidates who have qualified for the written test in the first stage will conduct the Intelligence and Personality Test in the second phase. It consists of two stages. Candidates are selected for the second stage by performing the Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) examination in the first stage. The second stage consists of Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Test and Conference. Details of these are available on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. 300 marks were allocated for the interviews of Army, Navy and Air Force and 200 marks for the Officers Training Academy interview. The tests will last for four days. Medical examinations are then conducted and final examinations are completed.
