Indian Navy Multi Tasking Staff Eligibility

The Indian Navy is a well-balanced and cohesive three-dimensional force, capable of operating above, on and under the surface of the oceans, efficiently safeguarding our national interests.

The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) exercises operational and administrative control of the Indian Navy from the Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Navy). He is assisted by the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff (VCNS) and three other Principal Staff Officers, namely the Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (DCNS), the Chief of Personnel (COP) and the Chief of Material (COM).

The Navy has the following three Commands, each under the control of a Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief:-

• The Western Naval Command (Headquarters at Mumbai).

• The Eastern Naval Command (Headquarters at Visakhapatnam)

• The Southern Naval Command (Headquarters at Kochi)

The Western and the Eastern Naval Commands are ‘Operational Commands’, and exercise control over operations in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal respectively. The Southern Command is the Training Command.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Navy Multi Tasking Staff:

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed in Matriculation and Proficiency in relevant trade.

Age Limit - Between 18 and 25 years (age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per govt. norms)

Age Relaxation:.

• SC / ST CAndidates: 05 Years

• OBC Candidates: 03 Years

• PWD Candidates: UR-10 years, OBC-13 (10+3) years, SC/ST15(10+5) years etc.,

• ESM: UR-03 years after deduction of the Military service rendered from the actual age as on the closing date. Similarly for OBC-06(03+03) years, SC/ST-08(03+05) years.

• For Central Govt. Employees: 40 years (45 years for SC/ST) Central Govt. Employees who have rendered not less than three (03) years continuous service on regular basis as on the last date of submission of an application.

• Meritorious Sportsperson: 05 years for all the Group “C” posts (10 years in the case of Scheduled Caste and Tribes and 08 for OBC in respect of post reserved for them ).

Pay Scale:

The board of Indian navy pays the highest salary for the selected candidates and it is  Classified as per 7th CPC in Group ‘C’ (Non-Gazetted) Level in the Pay Matrix- Level 1 (Rs.18000– 56900).

Selection Process: Selection will be based on Written Examination.
