ESIC Jharkhand Recruitment - 25 Jan 2021

The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Jharkhand Scheme was implemented in the State of Jharkhand vide Notification No.S.O.1428 dated 15.7.1958 w.e.f. 27.7.1958 under Section 2 (12) of the Act covering about 48,000 workers. The Scheme was first implemented in Bangalore and thereby extended to other geographical areas over the years in the State. The establishments were brought under the purview of the ESI Act under Section 1(5) vide Notification No.SWL.124.LSI.74.IV dated 24.2.1976 and SWL.371.LSI.81 dated 5.1.1985. As on date, the Scheme has been implemented in 26 revenue districts spread over 160/758 centres/sub centres of the 29 revenue districts. The ESI Scheme has not been implemented in Coorg and Chikmagalur, as they are predominantly agricultural areas, i.e., mainly plantations.
