Bihar Police Forest Guard Syllabus

The Bihar Police Department is the law and order and law enforcement agency for the state of Bihar, India.

Bihar Police comes under direct control of Department of Home Affairs, Government of Bihar. The Bihar Police is headed by a Director General of Police (DGP; three-star rank). The state is divided into four zones (Patna, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga and Bhagalpur), each commanded by an Additional Director General (Addl. DGP; three-star rank) or an Inspector-General (IGP; two-star rank). Each zone is divided into two to three ranges, each commanded by a Deputy Inspector-General (DIGP; one-star rank). Within each range are anywhere from three to six districts, each under a Superintendent of Police. Patna is under a Senior Superintendent of Police

• Current events of national and international importance

• History of India and Indian National Movement.

• Geography-Physical, Social, Economic Geography of Bihar, India and the World.

• Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.

• Economic and Social development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.

Bihar Police Syllabus 2019 – Part 2

• Basic numeracy (numbers and their relation, orders of magnitude etc.) – (Matriculation or equivalent level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc,- Matriculation or equivalent level).

• Logical reasoning and analytical ability.

• General mental ability.

• General science – (Matriculation or equivalent level)

• General issues on Environment, Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change – that do not require subject specialization.

• Knowledge of Hindi language – The aim of the paper is to test the candidates ability to read and understand serious discursive prose, and to express his ideas clearly and correctly in the language.
