Some of the scenarios with respect to workplace diversity are provided. A person’s view on workplace diversity can be assessed by making the person write the opinions about the different scenarios.

Ismail’s company hosts Christmas party every year and Ismail does not want to celebrate the occasion. This was communicated to the supervisor. An employee working in a restaurant informed his supervisor that he would be fasting the day times from the next day as it the month of Ramadan. The supervisor got to know more about the beliefs and customs about the month of Ramadan and the next day the supervisor assigned him the responsibility of cooking the meals for the day.

An employee was attending to a new customer in a jewellery shop. The customer was stopped at the counter by the employee. Without any assumptions, the customer was asked about his heritage and the employee could know that the family of the customer was migrated to United States years ago.The customer also shared her interests and conveyed her interest towards the culture of India and shared that she enjoyed the holidays of Indian culture. At the same time, the customer conveyed that she speaks English and has adopted most of the practices of the new country.
