In SAP system, the data related to inspection planning should be maintained in order to perform the quality process. The quality planning data should be maintained for the maintenance of standard reports.
The master records given below are to be created related to Quality planning-
The specifications of material inspections can be defined. For example, dimensions of the inspected material. At the production level, we can specify Master specifications and to remove the duplicate specifications, master inspection specifications can be organized.
In the inspection plan, we use these specifications. We use the equipment’s specification in the inspection plan.
The master inspection specifications given below, can be defined in SAP QM system –
The quantitative specification results from the inspection are directly given while recording. At the master level, the limits like minimum and maximum value are set for each parameter. The inspection method is attached to the inspection specification level.
The values like true/false or OK/not OK can be taken by these specifications.
By following the below steps, master inspection is created.
Step 1 −In SAP Easy access, T-code, QS21 is used. It is shown in the screenshot below, how to start creating an MIC.
Step 2 – Enter the details given below, in the next window.
Step 3 – Enter the details given below, in the next window.
Step 4 − A new dialog box is appeared after clicking the Control Indicator button to maintain the lower and upper limit data.
Step 5 – On pressing ENTER, it redirects you to the Tolerance window.
Step 6 – To be on the main screen, click the tick mark. On clicking the save button, the master inspection characteristics are saved.
