What is Salesforce Custom Objects?

The organization’s data will constantly not fit into the current standard objects. Thus, we can spread and customize numerous sales force objects to meet this need. For instance, a courier business can make a custom object to store the schedule and dispatch particulars for every week. Thus, these objects store the data that is sole to the business. The custom objects can also have custom fields along with the standard fields obtainable in Salesforce.

Custom Object features

Resulting are the features obtainable on Custom Objects. The features aid you perform the resulting features −
Build page layouts to control which fields users can view and edit when entering data for the custom object record.
Import custom object records.

To create a custom object, we go to the line path as shown in the resulting screenshot –

Today we fill in the particulars of the custom object we need to create. There are obligatory fields which must be filled before the object can be saved. In our case, we give the object a name called Delivery schedule and save it.

Create a Custom Field

To Add a lot of granularity to the business data, we are able to add custom fields on the custom object we tend to created. during this case, allow us to add a field known as delivery date to the custom object named Delivery schedule. To do this, we tend to follow the path Setup Home -> Objects and Fields -> Object Manager -> Deliver Schedule. Later, scroll all the way down to the Fields and Relationship tab and click on New. The page to add custom field seems whereby, we tend to fill the details as shown below.

Following, we can confirm the successful addition of the above custom field by resulting the same link path as above. The custom field seems as shown in the resulting screenshot –
