Ignoring Errors - Oracle 11g

Oracle Database 11g introduces the DATA_OPTIONS parameter to ignore errors encountered during imports when nondeferred constraint violations are encoun tered while load operations are being performed to tables, partitions, or sub partitions. For import operations, the only valid option to the DATA_OPTIONS parameter is skip_constraint_errors. The skip_constraint_errorsnvalue specifies that the import operation will continue as nondeferred constraints are violated. Errors will be logged to the logfile, and the import will continue.

Here’s an example using the skip_constraint_errors option:

impdp rodba/oracle123 tables=docs content=data_only dumpfile=oradmp:docs.dmp data_options=skip_constraint_errors
