INTERNAL DESIGN - IBM Mainframe

The internal design of the system refers to the organization of the system as seen by the programmer. The internal design and external design are usually developed together. Some parts of the internal design' such as the desired behavior of a program after an error, determine how the user should respond. This will affect the screen layouts and user instructions documented in the external design. On the other hand, the external design specifications for screens and reports will certainly affect the processing to be performed, as described in the internal design.
