What is Drupal Ecommerce - SetUp Taxes?

The general definition of tax is a financial charge raise on a source of public revenue or taxpayer. One of the basic type of tax is sales tax which do not show inclusive with prices of the product.

The below steps can describe how to specify the rate of tax for a product:

Step (1):First, go to the store. There you will find configuration, click on it.

Step (2):Afterwards, click on the link called Taxes which can control tax rates and types.

Step (3):If you want to add tax for a particular product, then you have to click on a link called Add a tax rate.

Step (4):After step 3 you will be redirected to the taxes window, which is used to add product tax rates as shown in following screen.

Here you encounter the following fields like

  • Title: It is used to give title for the tax rate.
  • Display title: It is used to give the front end display title of tax rate for the customers.
  • Description: It is used to define the tax rate.
  • Rate: It is used to give the percentage which again used to calculate the tax in terms of decimal.
  • Type: It is used to select the type of tax for the tax rate with the help of drop down menu.

Once you finish the settings then click on the Save tax rate button

Step (5):Now you will be able to see the name of the tax rate for the product as shown below.

Step (6):

Now go to the Home page then click on a link called view cart which will display the products in shopping cart.

Step (7):

Afterwards, click on the Checkout button to check the tax rate added for the products.

Step (8):

Now you will be able to see the tax rate added and subtotal together.
