What is Drupal Aggregator Module?

In this tutorial, we will be learning about Aggregator Module in Drupal. Aggregator Module gathers all the content from other websites but it do not produce any feeds.

Drupal Aggregator Module is also known as a feed reader because it gathers, displays texts and images,other sites and blogs.

Below are the steps required for Aggregator Module.

Step 1: First, click on Modules from the menu bar displayed.

Step (2): Now, a list of several modules gets display. Enable the Aggregator module and then click on Save Configuration as displayed below.

Step (3): Now, go back to aggregator module and click on Configure option at the right side.

Step (4): A Feed aggregator page gets displayed.

Below are the settings present in this page.

  • Allowed HTML tags: This specifies that we can get only those html tags which are included in the given text box as we can see in the image, if we remove any of them we won't find that particular tag in our content.
  • Number of items shown in listing pages: choose the number of items we want to be get displayed in our pages.
  • Discard items older than: We can remove items that are older, with this option.
  • Select categories using: We can select categories respectively, either by clicking on Check boxes radio button or multiple selectors.
  • Length of trimmed description: We can Select the length of our descriptions.

Once we are done with all the settings, click on Save Configuration.
