The feature of User Manager is available only in the latest edition of cPanel, as it is newly introduced. The new feature enables to control all the users existing in cPanel with single interface. User Manageris makes visible all the user accounts that bear either an email account or an FTP account connected with the domain. The feature facilitates deletion of an account, changing password or add new user account by connecting to Email and FTP account.
The following are the steps to delete a user account using cPanel User Manager:
Step 1– Click on the last icon on the sidebar. On Clicking, User Manager Interface appears on the screen
Step 2– All the accounts of the cPanel including the system accounts are visible in this interface. The accounts for which the Inbox icon is colored implies that the account has an email address. The accounts for which the Truck icon is colored implies that account has access to FTP account. The accounts for which disk icon is colored implies that the account has access to webdisk.
Step 3– Select the account to be deleted and by clicking on the delete link under the domain, the account gets deleted.
Step 4– Confirm on the deletion of user account by clicking the delete button.
The following are the steps to either change the password of any account or edit an account using cPanel User Manager:
Step 1 – From the User Manager, select the account which need to be either edited or change password of. Then click on edit link or change password link. Both options will be directed to the same interface as follows:
Step 2 – Provide the Full name or alternate email id of the account.
Step 3 – In case of password change, scroll down for Security Information interface. Provide the new password. If not desired to change the password then leave blank.
Step 4 – From the service interface select the service to be enabled to the user account.
Email and FTP can be enabled or disabled by moving the switch. Both can also be enabled for a user account.
Step 5 – By clicking on Save, the settings for that user account gets saved.
The following are the steps to create a new user account and giving access to email and FTP using cPanel User Manager:
Step 1 – Select ‘Add User’ on right side of the user manager interface. Same interface as that of edit user appears.
Step 2 – The information like username and password need to be provided, which are mandatory. The information like Full Name can also be provided but optional.
Step 3 – Enable the services which are desired to provide to the user.
Step 4 – User account is created on clicking on the Create button. In order to create one more account then select Create and Add Another. Once created, both the options redirect to the user manager interface.
