A customized version of Xen is deployed by Amazon in EC2. Xen provides support for x86, x86-64, Itanium, Power PC, and ARM processors, which allows the Xen hypervisor to run on a wide variety of computing devices Currently Xen supports Linux, NetBSD, FreeBSD, Solaris, Windows, and other common operating systems as guests running on the hypervisor. Citrix also provides a free version of Xen, which it calls XenServer; it supports 64-bit versions of Intel and AMD processors.

Citrix Essentials for XenServer is a commercial product extension of XenServer (which is in the public domain, as it’s based on open source technology). Citrix Essentialsoffers advanced virtualization management capabilities to server environments to help customers create highly scalable, manageable, and agile virtual infrastructures. Pricing is on a per-server basis and includes one year of support. Symantec Corporation also offers a Xenbased product.
