Queen – The single red colour carrommen is known as the Queen. It is usually located at the center of the board before the game starts.
Foul – When the player tends to strike wrongly against the rules of the game, it is considered as a foul. A foul of the player implies that the player is supposed to miss a chance which was supposed to be played.
Break – Break implies the first strike of the game on the board.
Push – During the play, a sudden jerk of board is known as push. Even this is considered as foul.
Strike – When the player hits the carrommen with the striker, it is known as strike.
Due – When a foul is being committed by the player, the player has to face the penalty and should place one of his carrommen in the center.
Penalty – Penalty is applicable when the rules or the laws of the game are being violated by the player.
Covering – In order to cover the queen, a specific carrommen is being pocketed, which is known as covering.
Thumbing – When the strike is being played by using the thumb of the player, it is known as Thumbing.
White slam – When at the first strike itself or at the first turn itself, when all the white carrommen are pocketed with or without the queen, it is known as White slam.
