According to a latest survey the first two hours of office are the most productive and two hours after the lunch are least productive as per the survey. The survey also mentioned that Monday is noted as the most productive day and Thursday is least productive day of the week. The survey has been conducted by a recruitment agency and nearly 65 percent respondents mentioned that they will be active in first two hours after reaching office. Over 63 percent mentioned that they work 8-10 hours per a day and remaining percentage work for 6-8 hours a day. The survey revealed that nearly 70 percent in first category and remaining percent were preferred second category. This survey has been conducted on a work day of average eight hours which were equally divided into four parts: the first two hours of office, two hours before lunch, two hours from lunch and the last two hours of office.
Most of the IT employees preferred to start their work as soon as they reach the office with fresh mind and focused thinking. There is also no indication that people who spend more hours at their work stations will be more productive and people who are less are known as less productive. Certain factors like workplace environment, ergonomic factors, zeal and passion for the job will strategically increase the duration of productive period. Nearly 80 percent of senior level professional felt that they would be more productive in first two hours of working day. At the same time, entry level and middle level professionals felt that they would be more productive in first two hours and last two h ours of the working day. In terms of gender wise higher percent of male respondents stated they would be more productive in first two hours of the working day and female respondents would be more productive in two hours before lunch time. Nearly 70 percent felt that post lunch two hours period is less productive.
