According to a survey, over 80 percent engineering graduates are unemployable in the country. The survey found that there was a skill gap in the country and employers are not able to found the skilled candidates, highlighting the need for an upgraded education and training system.

While educational institutions deliver millions of engineering graduates but corporate often complain that they do not get the necessary skill and talent required for a job. City wise findings denote that, Delhi continues to produce the highest number of employable engineers followed by Bengaluru, Kerala and Odisha, Punjab and Uttarakhand. The study mentioned that roles like sales engineer non-IT, associate ITeS or BPO and content developer report slightly higher employability of females.
