Recent survey by wisdomjobs.com found that many employers seek highly competent professionals at the mid to senior management level. Over 50% employers noted that mid level professionals are in high demand this year as many companies across the sectors are looking to hire. Professionals more than 10 years experience saw 10% rise in demand in March 2017.Candidates with relevant experience, energy and passion to adapt quickly, pick up new skills and capitalize on training and development opportunities to enhance company growth and their personal growth also.
According to the survey more than 60 percent employers stated that that middle level staff was the most hired experience category of 2017, followed by junior level employees (25%) and senior staff (15%). There was high growth in the job market as 75 percent employers are looking to expand their teams. Recruiters across the sectors such as FMCG, retail, healthcare, manufacturing and real estate are looking to expand their teams. Companies are realizing the value of developing employee skills and offering internal career opportunities, as senior level executives and human resources teams recognize the importance of retention strategies. The other interesting fact is more than 10 percent more women employees hired in March 2016 as compared to March 2017. Over, 51 per cent of surveyed employers expecting staff to leave their business in the coming year. However, about 79 per cent of employers surveyed indicate that women in their organization are provided equal opportunity to progress to executive level roles as men. The survey also stated that, over 68 per cent of employers invest in digital assets to attract new candidates to the recruitment process. While, biggest hiring challenges including in sourcing the right talent was 26% it was screening talent, another 27% felt there were skill shortages and dropouts were the biggest challenge for 28%.
