Social media has emerged as a major platform for recruitment and most of the recruiters are checking the background of candidates through social media. It is a great tool for employers and nearly 68 per cent of them decide against hiring a person after finding negative details about the candidates, a survey has found.
Nearly 59 percent of candidates are using social media as recruitment to research about the candidates and remaining 38 percent of candidates are planning to adapt the social media platform. Job seekers need to stay vigilant, and pay attention to privacy updates from all of their social networking accounts so they know what information is available for others to see," said by recruitment firm head.
