Job market outlook during Jul-Dec 2015: Survey

Recent survey by found that Indian economy is showing upward trend in hiring during Jul-Dec 2015.The government's initiation such as Make in India, Digital India, Smart Cities and Skill India have created huge jobs across sectors in second half of 2015. BFSI sector topped the list during Jul-Dec 2015, beating IT/telecom sectors. The digitalization of banking sector impacted the growth of jobs in BFSI sector, besides relaxing of policies to set up banks at rural areas.

Job market outlook during Jul-Dec 2015

BFSI sector saw nearly 3% hiring growth for the professionals across digital marketing, BIU and strategic abilities. IT/telecom, manufacturing and healthcare were the other sectors in Jul-Dec 2015. Professionals such as engineers and technology professionals were hired during the period. Sales professionals such as corporate, retail direct/commission and channel sales hired during the period. There was a huge demand for the professionals such as quality assurance and logistics professionals, product engineers, design & development engineers, quality engineers, content writers and digital marketers during the Jul-Dec 2015 period. Health sector also created maximum jobs for different roles such as paediatrics, cardiology, anesthesiology and physiotherapy, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and R&D verticals.

City wise analysis provide that Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Kerala and some North-Eastern states also witnessed a rise in talent demand, though their job share was small.Senior and mid level professionals saw maximum hiring growth in metros. Middle and senior level professionals dominated the hiring trends during Jul-Dec 2015. Professionals with 5-15 years experienced saw growth in hiring during Jul-Dec 2015. There was also growth in demand for entry-level talent is expected to grow in engineering, sales, tech support and customer support roles. Candidates with creative and innovative skills were in huge demand. The creativeness in candidates, their leadership qualities, ability to learn and unlearn and adaptability with new and changing trends and technology will be the key differentiators during the recruitment process.
