How to open PFaccount?

Emplyee provident fund or PF is a retirement benefit scheme availed by the salaried employees . PFaccount an employee provident fund account will be opened on behalf of the employee by the employer .It is mandatory for every employee to open epf account , employyeees not under any organisation cannot open the employee provident fund account .PF accounted is pened so that employee and the employer can deposit provident fund at indicated percantages current percentage for the employee is 12% and employer is 3.67% .The amount contributed goes to the epf account and EPF account. EPF accounts are administered by EPFO a government organisation created for this purpose. For an employer to create PF account his/her establishment should have more than 20 employees. If the establishment covers less than 20 employees it might be subjected to certain conditions.

pf account can be created online or office it depends upon the employers decision, now a day’s online mode is preferred than offline mode .To register for epf the registration form should be downloaded from the website of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO)

employers needs to submit following details for opening PF account number

● Main office and branch details

● date of registration of company

● details of employees

● total employee strength

● type of business.

● Legal status of company

● Owner details such a designation and address

● Salary of individual employee

● Total salary f employees monthly

● Details of bank

Instruction for Filling of Business Number Application Form

The Business Number form is designed for data entry in computer for allotment of Business Number. Therefore all the columns marked ‘*’ must be filled in.

Any incorrect or insufficient or incomplete information may hamper allotment of Business Number and delay the process. Therefore utmost care may be taken in filling the form.

All columns must be filled in BLOCK CAPITAL LETTERS using blue or black ball pen only. Type printing or computer printed is allowed provided the data is clearly legible and exactly in the format prescribed.

Please attach all relevant enclosures in support of information provided in the application form.

The form shall be submitted in original along with the enclosures in any nearest office of EPFO.

2. Details of head office and branches with address with telephone and fax number

3. Nature of business activity

4. Memorandum and Articles of Association

5. Form No. 2 and Form No. 11 for all the employees ( in duplicate )

6. Detail of Directors :

v) Res. Address

7. Name of director who will sign the Provident fund Documents.

8. Name of Director, who is in charge of , and responsible for, the conduct of, the business of the establishment

9. Details of the Bankers ( Including Bank Branch address and Account number )

10. Photocopy of the starting page of the Bank statement of all the accounts for any month

11.Any office address proof

12. Photocopy of Income Tax Permanent account number

13. Detail of employees:

5. Date of Joining

6. Salary (Basic+D.A.+Cash Value of Food Concession)

14. Monthwise employment strength from the date of set up

15. If registered under the Factories Act, Particulars of the Manager/Occupier

16. Date of first commencement of production /business (Trial /regular) with any proof

17. Whether run by owners or leaser

18. Detail of Authorised Persons for the Employees Provident Fund matters: -

1.Name of Employee

19. Details of contractors

a. Name of Contractors

b. Provident fund code number of contractors

c. Photocopy of provident fund code number allotment letter

d. Last Provident fund monthly return (Form No. 12A, 5, 10 and Challan)

e. No. of contract employees

20. Employees’ consent if no. of employees (including contract employees ) less than 20

21. Bank Demand Draft of Contribution Fvg. State Bank of India –EPF A/c.

22. Company letter heads-20
