JEE Advanced 2020 Exam
JEE Advanced is popularly known as the gateway to IITs in India. JEE Advanced is a national level online computer-based entrance exam for those candidates who seek admission into bachelor’s programs (4 years BTech/ BS and 5 years BArch), 5 years integrated master’s programs (MTech, MSc) and 5 years dual degree programs (BTech, MTech/ BS,MS) offered by 23 IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) including Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad. This exam is conducted every year by seven zonal IITs one by one as organizing institute with the help and guidance of the JAB (Joint Admission Board).
Those who have successfully cleared JEE Main exam are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced for admission to the IITs in India.

The number of candidates to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2020 has reached up to 2,45,000 due to the inclusion of EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category.
Colleges Accepting JEE Advanced 2020 Score
Apart from 23 IITs and ISM, also there are a number familiar engineering colleges across India who accept JEE Advanced scores for admission into their engineering programs including Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram and IISC Bangalore.
JEE Advanced 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Below is the eligibility criteria fixed by JBA to appear for JEE Advanced 2020:
• Performance in JEE Main 2020
Those who have successfully cleared JEE Main 2020 falling among the top 2.45 lakh rankers in JEE Main 2020 in all the categories are eligible to write JEE Advanced.
• Age Limit
Those General and OBC- NCL category candidates who born after October 1, 1994 are eligible to appear for the exam. However, age limit for SC, ST or PwD category candidates has been relaxed and for them, all these candidates who born on or after October 1, 1989 are eligible to appear for the exam.
• Number of Attempts
A candidates can attempt JEE Advanced for a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
•Appearance in class 12th/ Equivalent Exam
Those who have appeared for their class 12th or equivalent examination for the first time in 2018/2020 can also appear for this exam.
JEE Advanced 2020 Admission Criteria
• Those candidates who have successfully qualified the JEE Advanced 2020 AND have secured a minimum of 75% (65% in case of SC, ST and PwD candidates) aggregate marks in their class 12th/ equivalent board examination are eligible for admission into bachelor’s programs, integrated master’s programs and dual degree programs at IITs.
● Those who have qualified JEE Advanced AND fall within category-wise Top-20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective class 12th/ equivalent board exam.
Seat Reservation/Quota in JEE Advanced
Those who are Indian nationals will be offered admissions based on seats reserved for the category under which they fall according to the rules as mentioned by the Government of India.
Apart from the above reservation, some of the seats are allotted to foreign nationals.
JEE Advanced 2020 Registration
Candidates can register themselves for JEE Advanced 2020 by filling the online JEE Advanced 2020 form visiting the JEE Advanced or JBA official website. While registering for JEE Main 2020, aspirants can register for JEE Advanced 2020 even if they did not opt to give the JEE Advanced 2020.
Registration process for JEE Advanced is closed now. IIT Roorkee released the application forms online on May 3, 2020. The last date to fill JEE Advanced application form 2020 was May 9.
JEE Advanced 2020 Admit Cards
Once completed the registration process, aspirants are required to download the JEE Advanced 2020 admit card visiting the official online JEE Advanced 2020 Registration Portal. The same will be asked to produce at the time of exam at exam hall.
JEE Advanced 2020 Results
As IIT Roorkee under the guidance of JAB will be conducting JEE Advanced 2020 for 2020 term. Therefore, candidates will be required to check the JEE Advanced 2020 result on IIT Roorkee official website. The results are usually announced in the month of June every year.
After successfully clearing the JEE Advanced 2020, all the successful candidates will be shortlisted for admission into 23 IITs and ISM for bachelor’s, integrated master’s and dual degree programs based on their performance in JEE Advanced 2020.

JEE Advanced 2020 Cut-off
JEE Advanced cut off 2020 has been released by IIT Roorkee. Candidates are to check the category-wise cut-off on official website of IIT Roorkee or JBA. These cut-off marks will determine a candidate’s admissions to the premier IITs.
