Availability of talented manpower is the great asset of Indian recruitment industry. Indian economy is creating multiple job opportunities in Tier 1 Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities by hiring the job candidates from Tier 1, Tier 2 Tier 3 colleges. 2014 year has seen remarkable growth and positive signs from recruitment wise by creating many job opportunities to many college students. Top employers like Ernst & Young, PwC, KPMG and Deloitte hired for telecom, infrastructure and state government project from Tier 2 and Tier 3 colleges. TCS, TVS, Tata Motors, Maruthi Suzuki, Emerson, CRISIL also made offers to the college students. KPMG made 16 offers at the campus, whereas, Deloitte has made 10 offers at LBSIM. The company has sourced graduates from NITs in Hamirpur, Durgapur and Bhopal, Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra and UPES, Dehradun. It is also revealed that more than 10 percent students are interested to work for startups. Employability Bridge (EB) in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and National Skill Development Corporation has created employment opportunities for 6,000 students in 50 Tier 2&3 colleges across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Some of the other companies which have been made offer to Tier 2 and 3 colleges are as below: DE Shaw Flipkart Ebay Aditya Birla Group Amazon Asian paints Axis bank Bhartati group Cap Gemini Citi bank CRISIL Cognizant Get 2Galaxy Salary packages for the students of small cities have been reduced 30-40% as compared to last year. On average companies pay salaries of Rs 3.10 lakh per annum for fresh graduates, Rs 3.80 lakh for engineers, Rs 7.2 lakh for chartered accountants Rs 5.22 lakh for MTech students and Rs 12 lakh for B-school pass-outs. Due to the low cost of living and availability of workforce at lower cost are driving the job market to hire from these cities. Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur, Koiambatore, Chandigarh, Nashik and Ahmadabad are the major Tier II/III cities that have featured in the list of the top ten hiring locations for the last one year.

PUNE: IIT, BPO/ITES, Telecom, Mobile, Retail and Banking. LUCKNOW: Manufacturing & Engineering, IT/Telecom and Consumer Durables/FMCG and Real Estate are the top hiring sectors. JAIPUR: Travel & tourism, BPO, KPO, Financial Services and Mining Industries are the hot industries in the city. KOIAMBATORE: Trade, Manufacturing & Engineering, Automobile and Banking. CHANDIGARH: Engineering, Manufacturing, Automobile and Banking are the top hiring sectors. AHMEDABAD: IT/Telecom and Manufacturing & Engineering are the top employment generators in Ahmedabad. NASHIK: BFSI, IT/Telecom and Manufacturing & Engineering are the key employment generators in Nashik.
