Recent survey mentioned that overall hiring slow in April 2016, while senior professionals reported 2% rise in demand during April. Hiring activities are slow across key sectors and none of them reported any rise in demand during April 2016. Professionals across sectors such as accounting-tax/consulting and recruitment/placement agencies reported rise in demand during the month. The survey mentioned that only architecture/interior designing professionals saw rise in demand while accounting & finance profiles witnessed stable demand.

Location wise analysis reveals that Delhi NCR was the only metro to report a rise in demand. Talent demand rise in Tier II cities including Indore and Lucknow. As well as Karnataka topped the list, Bangalore saw drop in demand. Hiring reports exhibit that, candidates with 20+ years of experience are in huge demand, according to the survey. Industry wise analysis reveals that Accounting/tax/consulting industries reported 20% rise in demand, automobile sector posted 12% drop in demand and IT/telecom, retail and manufacturing sector saw a 7 per cent drop in demand while BFSI sector posted a 5 per cent drop. Functional wise analysis found that Architects/interior designers saw a 3 per cent rise in demand. Accounting & finance professionals saw stable demand. Customer service and logistics/ supply chain mgt professionals saw 11-12% drop in demand. While Entertainment/media/journalism and hospitality professionals saw 7% drop in hiring activities. Location wise analysis predicted that Indore and Lucknow reported 11 percent rise in demand. Delhi NCR reported highest rise in talent demand while Bangalore posted highest drop in talent demand. Chandigarh, Pune and Hyderabad posted 17, 16 and 12 percent drop in demand respectively. Candidates with more than 20 years experience posted rise in demand and 10-20 years experience saw highest drop in talent demand while candidates with 5-10 years experience posted 6% drop in demand. Talent demand rise along with the experience levels.
