Hike in compensation: More than half of the surveyed participants mentioned that financial compensation was their primary criteria to get motivated. You can get pay hike as per your job titles or skill-sets. Assess your strengths and weaknesses in a detailed way. List your achievements and skills then focus on your weaknesses like mishandled assignments, blown deadlines, abrupt firings, or anything else.
Work from home: Flexible work option is another motivation tool for employees. Many companies are offering telecommuting as it saves the time and potentially allows for better work-life balance. Flexible work option will reduce the attrition rate and able to deliver productive results in the comfort of your own home as in an office.
Challenging work/projects: Offering challenging work or projects is another motivational fact to stay with the company.
Flexible work hours: Flexible work hours are another key tool to engage with the employees. Many potential programmers are comfortable with flexible hours to interface with clients and stakeholders. However employees are ready to accept less money for the possibility of flexible hours.
Promotion: Tech programmers like promotions and new titles, employers can promote them to keep motivates them.
Training: According to the survey employers willing to provide training programmes and certifications such as cybersecurity Forensic Analyst, Open Group Master Architect, Program Management Professional, Open Group Master Certified IT Specialist, and TOGAF 9 to educate their respective workforces. Many companies reserve fund for the professional development of their employees.
