A recent study mentioned that digital skills helping women bridge gender divide at work. As per the study women are using digital skill to get edge in preparing for work, finding work and advancing at work. The report stated that men ahead in using digital skills, women still lag behind men. Digital skills will give women flexibility, balance of work, personal life and more access to jobs.

Women can access virtual coursework, digital collaboration tools (webcams, instant messaging), social media platforms and use of digital devices such as smart phones. In India over 82% men use and 70% women use digital media to prepare for and find work. The survey also found that over 60% of all respondents agreed that digital proficiency enables them to work from home, with 50% saying it provides a better balance between personal and professional lives.
