Companies are offering parental benefits to attract and retain employees. Number of firms such as Flipkart ,Mondelez India Foods, formerly Cadbury India, Mumbai-based real estate developer K Raheja Corp, App-based fashion retailer Myntra have restructured their parent policies with many innovative additions.

Companies introducing new parental benefits to retain employees

The new parent's policy offer adequate time away from work at six months for new mothers, flexi-work timings, paternity leave for new fathers, and alternative forms of parenthood (adoption, surrogacy). Some companies are providing 'Adoption Assistance Policy' which is a company-sponsored policy that financially assists employees and provides paid leave for the adoption of maximum two children.
