The recruitment of passive candidates is a trend in the year 2016 as per the recent survey by wisdomjobs.com-India's first skill assessment based online job portal. Over 87% Indian firms are looking o hire passive candidates and organizations are looking at improving methods to source passive candidates. Companies are aggressively looking for passive talents. While a passive job seeker is engaged with an organization but not actively looking for a job, at the same time an active job seeker rigorously looking for a new job opportunity.
Recent survey mentioned that India ranks 3rd in hiring non-active talents and the major sources of hiring passive talents are different social networks such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. Around 60 percent firms prefer to hire passive talent while 44% of Indian organizations are hiring across social networking platforms and 38% firms in China, America, UK, etc. are sourcing talents from social networks. The study reports mentioned that 75% passive talents are available worldwide and rest are active talents who are intentionally looking for jobs. Because of the benefits like decreased HR costs, saved time, limited search to probable candidates, etc are enabling companies to hire passive talents. The survey reports mentioned that India ranks 3rd in hiring passive talent while 45% Indian companies are actively sourcing through social networks and 62% companies in America, China and UK are actively looking for top talent on social networking sites.
The study noted that 62 percent global companies across worldwide are actively sourcing passive talent. The report stated that over 75% of passive candidates existing across globe. Over 45% candidates are open to talk to recruiters ,while 15% candidates are searched by professional network channels and over 15% candidates are completely satisfied with their current role and don't want to change their jobs. As per the report, only 25% candidates are active throughout the world. Among them, only 12% candidates are actively looking for a job and 13% professionals looking for a change once in a week. The survey results found that over 42% Germany,52% UK,69% India ,72% China and 83% America professionals find facebook LinkedIn best to search passive candidates. The overall job market in India is looking optimistic while companies are gearing up for large scale recruitment. Indian startups such as Urbanclap, iTraveller.com, Eco-Rent a car, shopclues.com, mysmartprice and edureka are looking for passive talent. Having advantages like decrease HR costs, helps in recruiting best candidates, saves time, reliable than active candidates and limited search to find potential candidates said in the survey report.
