43 per cent companies plan to raise manpower by up to 15 per cent: Survey

According to the recent survey Hiring, Attrition and Compensation Trend 2016-17 , over 43% companies in India plan to increase their manpower by up to 15% in the current fiscal. Nearly 7.7% of the surveyed companies mentioned that they will increase their intake 16-24% while nearly 10.6% firms said their recruitment will increase 25-30% and close to 8% said the figure will be more than 30%.

More than one third of the companies said they do not plan to increase their staff this fiscal. Senior professionals have more job opportunities and expected to hire about 68% male and 32% female employees this year, said a survey. More than 64% respondents mentioned that they conduct background verification checks and uses using analytical tools such as psychometric tests for filling up key positions.
